For over 20 years, two major obstacles have prevented a movement like this from starting. The first obstacle was geographical separation. No one knows for sure if any of these individuals would support a program or not, but we do know one thing. It's no longer the only way to raise the money and support the program. There are numerous examples of "viral marketing" campaigns harnessing the power of the Internet to realize their mission. Presidential candidate Barrack Obama has used viral marketing to power a good web site to help him raise over $340 million (as of August 1, 2008) - without a single donation over $2,300.
